Real leather. Not sure if it's italian. Doesn't matter. Fully engulfs phone with snap. Holds cards just fine. Money can be placed without folding. Real leather so it scuffs. Just rub out. Gives case character. Choice between this and case that does not snap. Glad I got this one. Adds bulk but so does the other. Protection is key for me. I have note 4 edge. Have to not mind opening case and sliding phone out to use i dont mind. I would recommend.
